Goal
Eight weeks of fun, friends and laughter. Campers will enjoy a variety of sports, games, arts & crafts, skits, field trips and science. Our goal is to create a safe, fun-filled environment where our campers can make new friends, learn new sports and games, and have a great summer!
So what sports do we play? Well to start -- baseball, kickball, softball, flag football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, boce, marbles, Frisbee golf, handball, foursquare, ultimate Frisbee, croquet, field hockey, volleyball, and a yearly favorite of "butts-up". And games - well, capture the chicken, "Mace Windu", dodge ball, "finding Jimmy Hoffa", prisoner, freeze tag, blob tag, tetherball to name a few. Sunny days - why, just add water!! Yep, we'll get wet, whether with a sponge fight, waterworld, slip-n-slide, Jaws, water balloons, car washes and any number of aquatic events you can think of -- without having a pool… And yes, coaches and campers always seem to add one more game or sport during our weeks together. The list will grow.
Our Schedule
Camp
starts Monday June 16 and will be eight weeks in duration. Yipee!!
Our weeks are five days - Monday through Friday. Plan on joining
us for the entire summer, several weeks or make up your own schedule
of days and dates. Camp will conclude on Friday August 8. Darn…
Camp Day
Campers are welcome to arrive any time after 9:00AM. We'll gather for
a morning announcement and a laugh or two at 9:30 and then it's off to
your choice of morning sports and other activities. We'll enjoy lunch together
and a bit of free play between 12 and 1:00PM. Our afternoons will include
activities including beach trips, group scavenger hunts, "Fear Factor", "Survivor
Carmel", team Olympics, the River Concours a.k.a. Grand Prix, "Don't
do this at home day!!", “capture the Chicken” and other
events. What would camp be without ice cream or other snack at 3:00 - "every
day is Sundae!" Pick up and home at 3:30 - tired, likely a bit dirty,
and smiling!!! Extended Camp Days are available. Please call for information
and cost.
Location
Camp will be held at the Carmel River Elementary School campus. The campus is located at 15th Avenue and Monte Verde in Carmel. MAP>>>
T-Shirts & Towels
Each child receives a Summer Camp t-shirt. Extra shirts (plus hats and other stuff!) may be purchased at daily sign in. It is recommended that camp shirts be worn daily. "We get wet a lot, so please bring an extra t-shirt and towel to camp each day."
Refreshments and Food
We
will provide campers with water, lemonade or juice during the day and for
lunch. Campers should bring their own lunches every day. Campers may purchase
lunch for $6 – the local delis are great! Clover Sports
will host "Friday Pizza" each week during the summer.
